Sexual or erotic feelings develop between two or more members of the same species due to several reasons and as a consequence of these reasons when the members are attracted towards each other; it is termed as sexual attraction. In human beings, sexual attraction happens among the members of the same sex as well as that of opposite sexes.

When sexual attraction leads to satisfactory sexual intercourse between two human beings of opposite sexes, offsprings are produced. However, in certain cases or certain occasions, the female may not give birth to babies due to infertility of one or the other or it may also happen if the man is suffering from erectile dysfunction or any specific male sexual disorder.

Factors Responsible For Sexual Attraction: A Glance

Appearance

The first and foremost cause of sexual attraction is perceived to be physical attractiveness or appearance of an individual. The measurement of physical beauty encompasses a variety of aspects such as cuteness, features, complexion, the appearance of an individual with regard to figure/physique and several other physical aspects.

Revealing Clothes/Dresses

One of the commonly held perceptions with regard to the sexual attractiveness of human beings point out that a man or a woman is perceived to be more attractive sexually when he/she is scantily dressed. With minimum cloth enveloping the body, specific parts stand exposed and at such a situation, he/she looks sexually inviting to other people.

Especially, semi-naked images of the opposite sex appear to be sexually inviting for human beings and since a very long time this perception is held in the society.

Smell & Voice

It is also commonly held that sexual attraction between human beings is possible on the basis of how the one or the other smells. A likeable smell attracts the other and if the smell is not pleasant to the senses, it might prevent one from getting attracted to the other sexually. Alongside, the tone of voice or the sound that a person makes while he speaks is also a potential factor responsible for sexual attraction between human beings.
